Filling the need for customer built, durable school furniture, Waterloo Systems have introduced school desks, computer furniture and exam desks into its range.

Made from the Laminex ®Compact Laminate – the same board as used in Waterloo Toilet and Shower Partitioning - the desks and computer furniture are made to stand the rigorous condition of any school environment.

‘Computer Rooms are becoming an important part of all school facilities’ says Gregg Longmuir, Sales and Marketing Manger for Waterloo Systems, ‘rarely is there the opportunity to start a building from scratch so Waterloo custom designs the fitout, made to measure and with the schools requirements in mind’

Recently Waterloo fitted out St Stanislaus School in Bathurst, NSW with a series of bench desks to maximise the use of space in their computer room. 

‘Being a school with great heritage – the room we had to work with was well sized – so we set about maximising the use of space to provide a comfortable training environment for the students’ while meeting the design content of the school and allowing the teacher to monitor the students computer activity.” says Mr. Longmuir. The new Waterloo design enabled 70 students to participate in class with the latest computer technology. The design also allowed for the required number of power outlets.

‘They’re durable too’ says Mr. Longmuir ‘graffiti and stain resistant – as well as being the toughest board around – it withstands whatever kids throw at it - Laminex Compact Laminate is extremely suitable for desks and school furniture.’

Waterloo have also introduced exam desks into their range. “With quality leg mechanisms and the robust heavy duty Laminex Compact Laminate top – these desks can be stacked, unstacked, thrown around and tipped over for years without showing any signs of wear and tear.  Replacement tops for existing exam/study desks are also offered.

School desks, computer furniture and exam desks along with our partitioning and locker systems will be on display on Stand 76 at The Schools Resources Expo to be held at Rosehill Racecourse on the 12^th & 13^th of March 2010.
